This experiment is rooted in the Christian faith. We weren't made to own everything, we were made to be dependant on other people around us.  One of the effects of consumer culture is individualism and loneliness. We believe that relationships belong at the heart of helping fix social issues. We are a Christian social enterprise because the most dangerous, radical and effective community organiser was Jesus Christ. 



But that isn't the only reason

- Sharing gets the best out of the products we buy. Some other libraries like this are seeing a products life span increase from anywhere between 10-100 per cent. This, in turn, should reduce our effect on the climate as fewer resources need to be used.

- Sharing is a brilliant equaliser. It brings together both rich and poor, old and young. 

- Getting people to enjoy the outdoors has got to have a huge impact on our health
